Milwaukee Police officers took three guns off the street after they arrested three suspects on the North Side. District Seven officers were on patrol in the 2500 block of W. Hampton Avenue around 11:05 p.m. on February 20 when they noticed three males standing on a porch exhibiting suspicious behavior. The officers approached the subjects and conducted field interviews. All three of the males had loaded guns on them, including a Glock 9mm handgun, a Ruger .380 caliber handgun, and a Smith and Wesson revolver. The males, ages 17, 18, and 20, were all taken into custody and face charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon. MPD will present the case for charges in the coming days to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. In the first 50 days of 2016, MPD has recovered 286 guns.
