District 7 Officers Work Together to Find Burglars

On September 27, 2012, District 7  Sgt. Rodney B. Washington responded to the 4200 block of N. 73 St for a suspicious auto complaint. Police Officers Troy Johnson, Mladen Dukic, Brian Maciejewski, Nat Tharpe, Brrian Kobelinski, Jennifer Johnson, Alejandro Leal, Ryan Rediske, Elgerrith Tucker and Angela Ware.

A neighbor called in stating that a blue Nissan with no plates was driving around the area. The caller also observed two suspicious men wearing baseball caps walking around his neighbor’s home in the 4200 block of N. 73 St.

The squads started checking the area and discovered a back door on a home in the area was kicked in. Officers Rediske, Johnson, Tharpe, Johnson and Kobelinski investigated and learned nothing was taken.

Meanwhile, Officer Ware conducted a traffic stop in the 4600 block of N. 84 St of the suspicious auto, which was seen leaving the area of the home broken into. The two suspects inside had the license plates in the trunk along with latex gloves and screwdrivers. They were arrested and charges are pending. District 7 squads worked together as a team to get the job done and to get these burglars off the streets.
