Convicted Felons Arrested with Gun, Drugs on West Side

District Three officers from the Milwaukee Police Department arrested two convicted felons after they were found with a gun and drugs on the West Side. The officers were on patrol in the 2600 block of N. 25th Street around 10:30 p.m. on June 3 when they pulled over a car for a seat belt violation. The passenger, a 37-year-old Milwaukee man, got out of the car and tried to run away from officers. The man then struck one of the District Three officers in the face before he was taken into custody. Officers found marijuana in the passenger’s clothing and also found marijuana and ecstasy in the clothing of the driver, a 31-year-old Milwaukee man. A loaded 9mm handgun was found in the vehicle that the suspects were in. Both suspects who were taken into custody have criminal records and are convicted felons. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
