Convicted Felons Arrested for Pointing Loaded Gun at MPD Officers

Milwaukee Police arrested two convicted felons after they fled from officers and pointed a loaded gun at them. District One officers were on patrol in the area of N. Water Street and E. Wisconsin Avenue around 2:35 a.m. on August 15 when they were approached by several citizens who reported there were two men with a gun standing outside a nearby vehicle. When the men saw the officers, they got in their car and fled. Two additional officers were in the 600 block of N. Water Street when the vehicle pulled up to them and one of the men pointed the gun at the officers. Officers pursued the vehicle and the suspects were taken into custody in the 600 block of N. 2nd Street a short time later. A loaded 9mm gun was found on the rear passenger’s seat. Both suspects are 34-years-old and from Milwaukee and both are convicted felons. The suspects face various charges including Fleeing and Officer, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Pointing and Aiming a Firearm at a Law Enforcement Officer. This case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for a charging decision.
