Convicted Felon, on Bail for Burglary Case, Arrested for Separate Crime

Milwaukee Police arrested a convicted felon, on bail for a burglary case, for attempting to break into a home. District Six officers responded to a home in the 5700 block of S. Melinda Street at about 2:30 a.m. on April 13 for a report of an attempted burglary. The victim, a 40-year-old Milwaukee man, told officers he was inside his home when the suspect tried to open the window. When the suspect saw the victim, he fled from the scene. About ten minutes later, officers found a man matching the suspect’s description near the intersection of S. 34th Street and W. Ramsey Avenue and took him into custody. The suspect is a 23-year-old Milwaukee man and is a convicted felon with a criminal record dating back to 2010. Milwaukee Police will present charges to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
