Convicted Felon Faces New Drug, Gun Charges

A convicted felon is charged after officers from the Milwaukee Police Department discover drugs and a loaded gun in his apartment. Officers from the District 2 Anti-Gang Unit interviewed the suspect at his residence in the 2400 block of S. 12th Street on January 15 due to multiple complaints regarding shots fired near the home. When searching the premises, officers located more than 84 grams of marijuana, a loaded 9mm handgun, and dozens of handgun rounds. They also discovered equipment used for drug manufacturing. Officers arrested the man, 33-year-old Robert Dent of Milwaukee.

Dent is a four-time convicted felon with convictions going back to the year 2000. The Milwaukee County District Attorney charged Dent with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Drug Possession, both of which are felony counts.
