Milwaukee Police arrested a convicted felon after he fled from officers on the Northwest Side. District Four officers responded to the area of N. 91st Street and W. Silver Spring Drive around 3:55 p.m. on December 9 for a subject with a gun complaint. When officers arrived at the scene, they saw a man matching the suspect’s description leaving a nearby business. The suspect fled on foot and officers ran after him and took him into custody a block away. The suspect, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man who is also a convicted felon, admitted to having two handguns when he first spotted the police. Officers found the guns in a dumpster the suspect had jumped over and one of them was discovered to be stolen. MPD will present the case against the suspect to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for charges in the coming days.
