A short time later, responding officers saw a suspect matching the description walking in the 3400 block of N. 24th Street and attempted to stop him. The suspect ran away and threw his gun to the ground. Following a short foot pursuit, the 34-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody. The suspect is a convicted felon with a 2005 felony aggravated battery conviction. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
