A suspect wanted for an armed robbery is arrested by District One officers from the Milwaukee Police Department minutes after the crime. Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue at about 2:00 a.m. on September 4 for a report of an armed robbery. When officers arrived, they saw a man matching the suspect’s description. The suspect, a 39-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken into custody. Officers spoke with the victim, also a 39-year-old Milwaukee man, who said the suspect approached him, displayed a gun, and stole money from his pockets. The suspect also had cocaine on him at the time of the arrest and is a convicted felon in Illinois. Milwaukee Police will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
