Convicted Felon Arrested After Guns Found in Vehicle

The keen eyes of two officers from District Four of the Milwaukee Police Department led to the arrest of a convicted felon and the seizure of three guns. The officers were on patrol in the 3100 block of W. Villard Avenue around 2:00 a.m. on May 14 when they saw a AR-15 rifle inside of an unoccupied 2004 Nissan Altima. A few minutes later, the officers saw a man use his key to get into the Altima. As the officers approached, the driver ran away. He was taken into custody and identified as a 25-year-old man and a convicted felon. Besides the AR-15 rifle, the officers also found two other pistols, 200 rounds of ammunition, and three extra magazines for the rifle. The suspect faces three counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Resisting/Obstructing an Officer. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
