Three armed robbery suspects are arrested for their crime after they crashed the car they had taken hours earlier. District Five officers responded to an armed robbery at a business in the 2700 block of W. Burleigh Street at about 9:20 p.m. on November 23. The victim, a 31-year-old Milwaukee woman, was outside her vehicle when two suspects came up to her, displayed a handgun and demanded her keys. The suspects took her vehicle, a red 2007 Dodge Charger, and drove away from the scene. Shortly before 3:00 a.m. the following morning, District Five officers located the Dodge Charger near N. 27th Street and W. Hadley Street. The vehicle sped away, officers initiated a pursuit, and the vehicle crashed into a light pole near N. 18th Street and W. Hadley Street. Three suspects fled from the car but they were all taken into custody a short time later. The suspects are two 17-year-olds males from Milwaukee and a 19-year-old man from Milwaukee. Charges will be presented by the Milwaukee Police Department to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
