Milwaukee Police arrest a teenage suspect involved in the armed robbery of two teenage victims. At approximately 10:40 pm on May 10, District Six officers were called to the 300 block of W. Rosedale Avenue for an armed robbery. The two victims, a 13-year-old male and a 14-year-old male from Milwaukee, told police a suspect approached them, demanded their phones and threatened to shoot them. The suspect stole three phones and cash and fled on foot.
Responding officers noticed a subject matching the description of the suspect in the 900 block of W. Dakota Street a short time later and stopped to interview him. The officers called the phone number of one of the victim’s stolen phones and the phone illuminated and rang inside the suspect’s backpack. The suspect, a 16-year-old Milwaukee male, was taken into custody and faces armed robbery charges. The case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
