UPDATE (9/15/15 at 9:35 p.m.): The two children and their mother were found safe around 9:30 p.m. on September 15 near N. 37th Street and W. Brown Street. MPD thanks the public for their help in spreading the message.
Milwaukee Police are requesting the public’s help in locating two missing children, for whom an Amber Alert has been issued. Austyn D. Bennet and Dylan Lawrence were last seen with their mother, Nellie P. Wald, in the area of N. 17th Street and W. Highland Avenue on the afternoon of September 15. They left the scene in a silver 2013 Ford Fusion, which was recovered on the evening of September 15.
The boys’ mother is a 28-year-old African-American woman. She is 5’6″ tall, 140 pounds, with a slender build, and long dark wavy hair with purple highlights on the front. She was last seen wearing a pair of khaki pants and a floral tank top style shirt. She also has a couple of tattoos, including “Carma” on her right arm, and the name “Trinity” on one of her shoulders.
Austyn D. Bennet is an 8-year-old African American male, 4′ tall, 60 pounds with short haircut. He was last seen wearing a dark t-shirt, light-colored shorts, and green tennis shoes.
Dylan Lawrence is a 4-year-old African-American male, 2’6” tall , and 45 pounds with a short haircut. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, khaki shorts and a large dark colored backpack.
The children were taken by their mother who no longer has parental rights and investigators believe they are possibly on their way to Florida.
